ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
Admit it, you’ve always wanted to be a super hero, or maybe you fancy yourself as a Jedi, or even a Sith Lord?
Cosplay might just be for you!
Cosplay is a very simple concept, it is people in costumes having a good time. Millions the world over have found the joy of cosplay, whether they spend months sewing or fabrication entire suits of armour, bought a costume, or simply used what they had in there wardrobe to recreate the look of their favourite character.
Thom Wall runs Sorenzo Props, a small company based in Glasgow that specialises in making Props and Costumes for Cosplay. He is a keen cosplayer and regularly attends cosplay events as well as organising his own throughout Scotland and has also judged numerous Cosplay Competitions throughout the UK.
During this workshop he will be delivering a presentation all about Cosplay, how he started out, the props and cosplays he has made in the past, how you can get into it, and everything you need to know about planning, making and wearing your own cosplay.
The workshop is open 12-4pm on Saturday 28th May. Thom will begin the session with a presentation all about Cosplay, how he started out, the props and cosplays he has made in the past, how you can get into it, and everything you need to know about planning, making and wearing your own cosplay. Thom will then do some live demonstrations before a hands – on session giving participants the chance to make some basic props.
Whether you’ve already started your cosplay project or simply have a costume in mind or you’re a total novice and have no idea where to start, Thom will be on hand to help.
Feel free to bring along your own cosplay, tools and materials to get some expert pert advice and take your Cosplay to the next level.
