ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
This workshop will take you through the process of turning a local piece of green timber into a spoon.

You will learn how to design, carve and hollow out the bowl of the spoon. As well as sand and finish the piece. It's a fun workshop and easy for anyone to learn. The best part is you get to leave the class with your very own custom creation.

All tools and materials provided.

SKILLS LEARNT
Introduction to tools
Outline of complete process - tree to spoon
Introduction to different knife cuts
Using a blank you will get hands on with knives and create your own spoon.

YOUNG MAKERS
This workshop can be suitable for teenagers from the age of 11 - 16 yrs old, if accompanied by a supervising adult.
