ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
Make a Tote Bag is a great first sewing project which will give you the opportunity to get to grips with using a domestic sewing machine with the support of our MAKLab Textiles technician Iona Barker.

Along with making a vibrant coloured tote bag, you'll learn how to thread a machine and its bobbin, adjust the tension and to sew straight lines, corners and curves. If you have a sewing machine at home, you'll also pick up some great maintenance tips on how to look after your sewing machine.

This workshop is ideal for any sewing beginners or anyone who wants to make the shift from sewing by hand to machine sewing.
